Usually three or four angles cover most aspects of a small product but what if you have to deal with a very flexible BBQ light ? We are trying to present the different ways this light can be attached and oriented and make it stand out of a crowd of similar products.
We mounted the light on a BBQ like handle, and got the best angle to show how it can be pointed in almost any direction. Such a great kit deserves a great set of photos. Focus on the main subject but don’t forget the details: thermometer, protection hoodie, batteries, easy of installation, touch sensor style button.

The BBQ Lifestyle

This set of photos should show the light in use, as close as possible to a real life situation. Side views aside now, it’s time for some photography to light up the imagination, and in culinary style pun, light up the taste buds. What would advertising be like with schematics and diagrams and pages ripped out of an instruction manual. Stern schematics may be comprehensive but they don’t sell.

Mobility Equipment

This was a photo shoot done for Assistability, a Calgary business that sells, services and rents mobility equipment & home health products. The photos are meant for publishing in The Spin Magazine . It included both lifestyle photos and typical product photography in a studio setup, on this occasion on location.
Magix is a power chair with a plethora of features which would require quite an extensive set of photos to illustrate, and below you can see a few. Some shots show extreme situations the power chair can handle, but also typical, more common challenges that it handles graciously.

Lifestyle

Every single product has it’s own specifics and this was no exception. Occasionally there’s a human component and a demonstration on how a product can be used, and when done professionally it helps a lot. This time around, having an actual person with a real handicap was the perfect setup.

Having a good photos shows you care, shows you want to do business and you have nothing to hide. You didn’t just slapped a photo, maybe just a stock image. Even if the price is the same as your competition, you can sell more and faster with personalized photos.

Show details of your product, collages and descriptions like none of your competitors have.

Watermark your images and you should have a good level of safety against copycats. Invest time and effort in your marketing and it will pay off.

Can you tell the difference between these photos and the average amazon post ? What do you want to see most ? Size of a product, color, features ? If possible wouldn’t you have it all ? Closeups, details of craftsmanship, labels, logo, quality of finishing and so forth. Even if you pay more for a product you know it’s the right one when you’ve seen most of what you can probably can see from photography. It may not work at all, but at least looks good ! Sure, you can give even more confidence with a video, but photos can put products at work and show them in use.

Showing off your space is must be one of the first steps in marketing. Make your space visible and when clients will drop by, not only they find it easily they are already comfortable with the space.
