Patience, attention to detail, stand back and build up

Food photography is definitely a complex endeavor. Good food photography sells to all senses, not just sight. Smell and texture, taste and even the sound of a sizzling stake needs to transpire.
Maybe you look incredulous at the perfect image of a hamburger but but nobody will go for anything less. The photos need to be mouth watering.
Many times you sell a full experience with a photo. The table setting, the atmosphere, the restaurant lighting. You won’t have to be a gourmand connoisseur to see the fest that awaits you. It’s not unlikely that the simplicity of a photo is backed by hours of work, preparation and styling.
